The first Player Of The Month contenders Darryll Donnelly, Christie Elliott,Ian Hudson, Dan Purvis, Aaron Todd

The first Player of the month award covers games in August and September. There are five main contenders. Darryl Donnelly who has played in various positions across the back four and who has even weighed in with a couple of goals. Christie Elliott who has played in midfield or in a free role behind the striker and has scored in every game he has played including a hatrick in the cup. Ian Hudson who has carried on with the form that earned him Players Player of the Year last year. Dan Purvis who has been the model of consistency in every game he has played. Aaron Todd who has proved his true versatility in playing upfront and in goal from where he even managed two assists in one game. There is only one more game for players to affect the outcome of who will be the eventual winner when Robertson Scaffolding FC play Ellison SC .

The winning recipient will receive a trophy which he keeps for a month and an award to keep marking the achievement. The award will be made at a presentation with the team Sponsor John Robertson with a photograph taken that will appear on the team website and The Shields Gazette.
