Hatrick hero set to return

Stevie Stephenson is set to return after his 35 day ban after being sent off for his Saturday team Leam Rangers. Coincidently it is against Ellison SC who he scored a hatrick against on the opening day of the season his only appearance of the season so far. Robertsons will be hoping he produces another scintillating performance he will surely be fired up for the game.

Robertsons have proved to be the surprise package of the league having a 100 % record of wins so far and Ellison have also been somewhat of a surprise in that they have yet to win a game in the league , their only success being a hammering for the Red Hackle in the cup.

Robertsons will definitely not have to be complacent as they know Ellison can still be a class act on their day. Three former Robertson players will certainly be up for the fight Marc Pearson, Micky Urwin and Steve Hunt.

Robertsons have some injury problems as it looks like David Mullen may well be a long term casualty with a hamstring strain and Dan Purvis looks set to miss out again with his foot injury.

Manager Steve Dean will have some difficult selection decisions to make with a strong squad at his disposal the players missing out will have to realise it is no reflection on their performances or abilities and with so many good players a squad rotation system will have to be used throughout the season and players left out from the starting line-ups should not look on it as being dropped.

Ellison after their 3-2 opening defeat will certainly not take this game as lightly as the first when they expected to beat the young Robertson squad easily. Ellison may well be dismayed that Robertson have added some more quality players to their squad with the following players being added Ryan Docherty in goal and outfield players Brian Johnson, Christie Elliott and David Ridley.

Without trying to give tactics away Steve Dean is likely to field an attacking formation and pack his midfield with some quality players, in the previous encounter it was the midfield supremacy and the pace and power of Stevie Stephenson that won the game for Robertsons.

If Robertson Scaffolding win this game they will go clear top of the league as Fad Continentals do not have a game they presently have a one point advantage but have played a game more than Robertsons.
