Christie Elliotts two goals were not enough

Not so magnificent for the Seven lads from Robertson Scaffolding who play for Leam Rangers who were involved in the first round of the FA Youth cup at Hebburn Towns ground, as the night ended up in disappointment. Hopes were high of progressing further in the prestigious tournament as only a few weeks ago they beat their opponents Gateshead Redheugh convincingly. Whether the occasion had got to some of the lads was a possibility as they were well beaten 5-2.

The Robertson lads involved were Goalkeeper Ryan Docherty, Defender Luke Wright, midfielders Christie Elliott and Declan Tilson and forwards Aaron Todd and David Ridley. Striker Stevie Stephenson had to watch his team mates from the dugout with frustration as he was banned from a sending off, he was obviously hoping the team could progress so that he could play in the next round, who knows maybe if Stevie Stephenson had played the outcome may well have been different.

Christie Elliott at least did come out with some credit as he scored the two goals to keep up his impressive goal scoring record playing from a midfield role for both Robertsons and Leam Rangers.
