England debut

Ex Worcestershire U16 Captain and current U14 coach Rebecca Lloyd made her debut for the England U17 Women's team recently. Rebecca a former pupil of The Chantry school was called up for an international training week involving two friendly games against USA U17's.

Whilst representing the Worcestershire County Schools side, Rebecca became the counties first ever representative, playing for the English Schools U15 side against the home nations during the 2011-12 season.

She was on the bench for the first game at Hinckley United and a heavy 6 - 0 loss against a very sharp, fit and talented opposition. Rebecca's first question.... "How do I get to be that quick and fit?" Her family were of course very proud to see her in her England kit!

She had some minutes in the second game which was behind closed doors at St. George's Park. So a week away with England U17's and much learning done.

It has been a busy summer for current and former Worcestershire Schools pupils with Megan Walsh (2009-10 & 2010-11) and Melissa Lawley (2010-11) both involved in the England U19 squad that reached the U19 European Championship Final. Chloe Peplow a pupil from South Bromsgrove and a current Under 16 player was involved in the U17 Nordic Cup.
