Egerton and Lostock play out a nine goal thriller!

Premier Division

Whaley Bridge remain comfortably top of the Premier Division following their 2-1 victory over local Styal. The home side are now six points clear of Wythenshawe Town in second, whilst maintaining a fine run of form that has seen then pick up 33 points from a possible 36.

Wythenshawe also picked up a win this week as they beat Crewe 1-0 at home. Brocken Cyril picked up the only goal of the game, which from a number of accounts of the game was a superb finish, to move Town onto 30 points, three points ahead of Knutsford in third.

Wythenshawe’s next opponents, Garswood United, lost their game this weekend as they took on Rylands at home. The visitors came away with all three points in a tremendous display that saw them win 1-4 thanks to goals from Mark Keddie and Jordan Rigby (3).
