Pat Morrissey - RIP

It is with much sadness that I have to report that Pat Morrissey, best known as an AFA referee for 48 years passed away yesterday, after a long fight with cancer/leukaemia. Pat was a referee with the AFA and its three major leagues and was well known for his views on our level of football.

His regular input into Referee and AFA monthly publications always stirred much debate and he will be sadly missed by all his friends and colleagues in AFA football.

The thoughts of all within the Arthurian League and Arthur Dunn Cup go to Pat's family and friends at this very sad time.

A minute's silence will be held at this evenings Rep game against the AFC and at the Finals of the Derrik Moore Cup and Plate this Sunday (14 April).
