SJFL Competition for season 2019-20 is null and void and there will be no ‘Determining Championships’
This is the first time that SJFL has closed the competition since the league was formed in 1974, with the exception of Foot and Mouth in 2001 when the match programme was null and void but the league was able to complete its cup competitions. In reaching this decision the league has given an undertaking to Shropshire FA that when grassroots football reopens the league will provide financial assistance and assurances to all member clubs for the ensuing season (2020/21). These will require further discussion by league management, but these are outlined in the attached statement: please download the attached Statement.
SJFL OPEN STATEMENT END OF SEASON 2019-20 - Download / Open
SJFL 2022-23: Charity Cup and Charity Consolation Cup (U10 - U16) will be played in group stage games then quarter and semi-finals (subject to team entries in groups). League Cup (U13 - U16) is a knock-out competition by rounds to the cup finals.

The FA has been granted approval from the International Football Association Board (IFAB) to introduce a new trial to remove deliberate heading in football matches across U12 level and below in England from the start of the 2022-23 season.
