RULES OF THE
MARSHALL MOTORS
PREMIER CUP COMPETITION

1.The Competition shall be called the Marshall Motors Premier Cup, and the entire control and management of the Competition shall be vested in the Cup Competitions Sub-committee and their decision on any matter in connection therewith or any point not provided for shall be final, and all Clubs in the Saturday Section must enter except those whose application for exemption is granted. A Fee of £10 must be paid on or before 1st August in each season.

2. For the purposes of this Competition, a player must be registered at least seven days for his Club in the current season previous to his being eligible to play, except in the semi-final and final where he must have played at least five games for that Club in the Saturday Section of this League.

3. A player having played for one Team in this Competition cannot play for another Team in this Competition or in the Challenge Bowl Competition in the current season.

4. No player registered after 31st March in the current season is eligible to play in this Competition.

5. Should a team play an ineligible player or players, the tie shall be awarded to their opponents and the offending team fined £20 for each player ineligible. In the event of a Club failing to keep its engagement in this Competition they shall be fined £25 and forfeit the tie to their opponents.

6. The Competition shall be played on a Knock-out basis. If the scores are level after extra time the tie shall be decided by taking kicks from the penalty spot in accordance with FIFA Regulations. The Team drawn first shall be deemed to be the home team. If the home teams pitch is not playable due to adverse weather or any other reason on the date set for the tie, the tie shall be played at the next earliest date on their opponents pitch. If the tie is not then played due to adverse weather conditions or any other reason the tie shall then be played on the next earliest date on a Third/Fourth Generation (3/4G) Artificial Turf Pitch arranged by the first drawn Team at the shared expense of both Teams.

7. The fees for the match officials shall be in accordance with League Rule 13e and the status of the home Club.

8. The League shall make all arrangements, bear all expenses and take all proceeds for the final tie. In the event of both final teams having the same or similar colours, then both teams shall change. Final Clubs must provide a suitable match ball.

9. All other rules shall be in accordance with the League Competition.
