Relegation threatened Higher Bebington Kelma, thanks to goals from Alex Clarke, Andy Simpson and Tom Byrne ended a barren period of results following a welcome 3-0 victory at Aintree Villa Res. West Kirby Res. certainly had their shooting boots on against luckless Frodsham Park JFC in Division Three and romped home 13-0, inspired by hat tricks from Tom Rowland and Dean Wilde. Further efforts from Jacob Sampson (2) Joel Kelly, Omar Hoyle, Matty Kelly, Michael Mocka and Lewis Handford completed the scoreline. Fourth placed Rainhill Town Res. drew level on points with Helsby Res., after doubles from Chris Sheehan and Ben Dunleavy allied to an effort from Zac Rimmer, sparked a 5-1 triumph over Groves Ath. who had Jordan Finn in reply.
Shield Semi Final action saw FC Kirkby rubber stamp their passage to the final thanks to a 3-1 win over Capenhurst Villa Res. courtesy of efforts from Adam Bowe, Brendan Ratcliffe and Jay Tuper. Capenhurst Villa Res consolation goal was scored by Matthew Hickman.
In the Youth Division, free scoring Athletico Blues assumed pole position, following Saturday's 8-0 win against Vauxhall Motors. Finn McGovern struck three times and was joined on the scoresheet by Thomas Yates (2) James Hunt (2) and Kieran Law and it was celebration time also for Runcorn Linnets, who found the net through Zac Parker (2) and Lewis Crane in a 3-2 result over Maghull, who hit back via two goal Adam Carter. Kieran Taylor and Dylan Riley obliged for the visitors.
