Division Two leaders, South Liverpool Res., forfeited their unbeaten record.

Understandably, the recent adverse weather impacted heavily on Saturday's fixture programme and of the games which went ahead, despite a goal from Theo Cokewright, Go2 Day West Cheshire League Division Two leaders, South Liverpool Res., forfeited their unbeaten record, and opened the door for their promotion rivals, after efforts from brothers Sal and Baf Djabi allied to a goal from Tega Okeregha, steered visitors, South Sefton Borough to a 3-1 victory, WRITES ERNIE MCDONALD.
Fourth placed challengers, Runcorn Sports, stayed handily poised when doubles from Steve Rothwell and Ryan Burnell anchored their side to a 4-1 eclipse of Maghull Res. and confirmed their fourth win of the season. Adam Wood bagged Maghull's consolation. Tom Byrne found the net for Higher Bebington Kelma but it was consistent performers, Mossley Hill Ath. U23's. who profited, Alex Northover (2) Asher Duncan and Mohammed Alsaqqa sharing the goals in a 4-1 triumph. Elsewhere, Josh Abbot's effort for West Kirby at Marshalls Res. failed to prevent his side from capitulating 2-1 to goals from the hosts' Brendon Ndlovu and Adam Hurst.
Only one game came under starters orders in Division One, and it was honours shared when efforts from Mersey Royal's Jamie Leyland and Ryan Coles were negated by replies from Aintree Villa's Jamie Alty and Sam Dahl.
In Division Three, Great Sutton's fifth win of the season came at the expense of Frodsham Park. John Skipsey struck three times and was joined on the scoresheet by Jack Smith, Jake Thornton and Kaine Morris in a 6-2 success. The home side had Connor Williams and Tom Wilson on target. Rainhill Town Res. were elevated to fifth place in the table, following a 2-1 result over nearest rivals, Runcorn Sports Res., courtesy of a goal apiece from Jack Van Aston and Colm Lynch. Runcorn's marksman was Alex Sharp.
Saturday's Youth Division action saw third placed Athletico Blues romp home 14-1 against Maghull, highlighted by a five-goal haul from George Murray. Four goals from Mikey Molineux together with efforts from Joel Nunnnen (2) George Walker, Charlie Riding and Baden Clarendon completed the scoreline with Elliot Barry in reply for the visitors.
On the District scene, it was celebration time for Division Three outfit, Poulton Vics. who lowered the flag of Division Two counterparts, Neston Nomads in the Wirral DFA Amateur Cup 1st round. During 90 minutes a goal from Nomads' Declan Roberts was cancelled out by an effort from the visitors' Jack Maher before the Vics progressed 5-4 on penalties.
