Among the thousands pounding the streets in the 2007 London Marathon were two of our League's players. If you don't know their identity, click here to find out who they were, how they got on, and how you can still sponsor them.

Tim Sheehan of Hayes Lane Baptist Church was running and raising money for the Christian charity Smile which you can read about at www.smileinternational.org/index.htm

He was given the highly crditable official finish time of 3 hrs 53 mins 29 seconds, just outside his target. You can help him meet his sponsorship target though by making donations at www.justgiving.com/mrsheep He's called himself Mr Sheep because it's easier to spell than Sheehan!

Andy Willetts of United Churches Fellowship was due to run last year but was ill just before the event and his place was held over to this year. This time he made it to the start line and was running to raise money for The Haven, a Salvation Army children's home in South London where he used to work. Having suffered from cramp which forced him to walk for 5 miles in the latter stages, Andy nevertheless managed to get to the finish in 5hrs 26 mins 19 seconds.
