Before the season has even started, Christ Church Chislehurst have reached the top. No, not top of the League, nor top of the world, but Richard Adams and some of his team did manage to complete the Three Peaks Challenge recently.
That is, over the weekend 27th to 29th July, they climbed the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, all within a 24 hour period. 12000 feet up and 500 miles on the road, no mean feat , and not only that, raising over £2000 for the charity Smile International in the process.
The 2022/23 edition of the League’s Fantasy Premier League turned out to extremely competitive, eventually decided by a single point, with last season’s runner-up, Sam Bastable, formerly of Emmanuel Lightning, going one better with his team ABCDE FC.

A Man-of-the-Match performance by St Marys West Croydon’s captain Karl Allen was not only key to his team’s 7-1 win over St Marks Power in the 2023 Mike King Trophy Final, but also secured the League & Cup double, matching their achievement of 2018.
