Craven District FA Cup Final Reports

The District Association cup competitions have reached their conclusion
with all three finals being played before large enthusiastic crowds.

In the Norman Pratt Trophy, Rolls Reserves won a close encounter against
Settle Utd Reserves by 2-1,with goals from Mohammed Butt and an excellent
strike from Callum Dickinson,Settle replied through Matthew Cardus.

On a wet night at Rolls FC,Skipton Town won the Morrison Cup 30 years
after they last lifted the cup.Opponents Grindleton took the lead when a
penalty was saved initially however; the rebound was slotted
home. Grindleton lost their goalkeeper through injury before Town
levelled through Ryan Lever and a Sam Kimberley penalty gave Town the
lead before Man of the match Andrew Nicholson sealed 3-1 the win.

The Peter Marsden Craven Challenge Cup final at Skipton Town attracted
the largest crowd for several years, A close game was decided by a single
goal scored for Grassington by Freddie Binns against Rolls FC in what is
Grassingtons centenary year.The presentations were made by Mrs Maisie
Marsden and her daughter Jackie.
