A 37th minute goal from Michael Reeve was enough to give United Counties League title aspirants and former East Midlands Counties League side Anstey Nomads a passage into the Third Round of the FA Vase as their much delayed Second Round tie against RAINWORTH MINERS WELFARE finally got under way at Beaumont Park.
It leaves RADFORD, who entertain Hellenic League side Westfields from Hereford at Selhurst Street next Saturday in the Third Round as the League’s only representatives left in the competition.

With spectators now allowed back into grounds in certain circumstances, three of our sides again took advantage to play fixtures. It was a good day for promotion hopefuls SHERWOOD COLLIERY who continued their 100% start to the season with their seventh win at SHIREBROOK TOWN. Tim Gregory started things off with his seventh minute strike and after the
break further goals from Charlie Taylor on the hour and Liam Hearn ten minutes later put the game beyond the hosts.

KIMBERLEY MINERS WELFARE celebrated in style by beating table toppers BELPER UNITED 4-2 at the Stag. Nathan Banton broke the deadlock thirteen minutes in, and this was followed on the half hour mark when Isaac Stones doubled the lead. Luis Parkes made it three just six minutes into the second half before Martyn Smyth pulled one back for the visitors twelve minutes from the end. Their joy lasted just two minutes before Stones rattled in his second goal of the game to reopen the three goal gap. Not to be outdone Smyth also notched his second for Belper in the final
minute.

The other game, played at ‘The Lane’ saw OLLERTON TOWN and GRAHAM
STREET PRIMS battle out a goal-less draw – a valuable point which lifted Prims out of the bottom two.
