The Coptic Pharaohs failed to make a third consecutive COFTA Cup triumph when they defended their title at Shephalbury Park, Stevenage on the weekend of 15-16 September 2007.

The COFTA Cup (Coptic Orthodox Football Tournament Association Cup) is a relatively new tournament which made its official debut in 2005. It is contested by 8 teams from all around the country. St Mary and St Shenouda's Coptic Pharaohs were triumphant in this tournament for the first two years, this achievement being no small feat as they were relatively small and certainly the youngest team in the tournament . The team unfortunately failed to make it a hat-trick of wins in 2007 and any further report on their demise will have to wait until Danny Daniels gets over the disappointment!
