Of the five scheduled games for today only two went ahead; the one remaining First Round game of the Brightlingsea and District Amos Charity Cup between Tiptree Engaine ‘A’ and Langham Lodgers, which was switched to Langham’s ground as Tiptree’s home pitch was unplayable, and the Quarter Final game between Oyster Reserves and Sporting Rebels at the Glebe in Mersea.

The Stoke by Nayland game against Tollesbury Reserves was called off on the Friday night due to a waterlogged pitch and with the threat of more rain to come on the Saturday morning. Likewise, the Ramsey & Mistley 1st team game against Stanway Athletic Reserves also went the same way. Both of these games have now been re-scheduled for Saturday 16th November.

The scheduled League game between Parkeston Welfare Park and Ramsey & Mistley Reserves, at the Parkston Welfare Park ground was another lost to the weather.

Sporting added two more goals in the second half to the one Dominic Mosses effort for Oyster to leave the score as 5-2 to Sporting. Langham Lodgers also hit five goals in their match against Tiptree Engaine ‘A’, winning 5-1, although this match was switched to Langham as the Tiptree home venue was another that was unplayable.
