Saffron, Asfordby and Holwell now left to fight out for 2nd place.

Champions Ellistown went down in midweek to 2nd placed Saffron Dynamo who remain under pressure from Asfordby Amateurs, who continued their quest for the 2nd spot with a midweek 3-1 defeat of Ashby Ivanhoe and a weekend 4-1 defeat of Narborough and Littlethorpe, where leading scorer Luke Padmore led the line with a brace.

At the weekend Ellistown moved further out in front with a 1-2 away win at Ravenstone leaving Saffron, Asfordby and Holwell Sports to fight out who takes 2nd place. Holwell, who have to travel to Saffron, have quietly moved into contention after an unbeaten run of 10, and remain 5 points off the pace but with 2 games in hand after their 6th win on the spin, 2-0 over Bardon Hill Sports with both goals scored in the 1st half.

Hathern finally put paid to Ashby Ivanhoe promotion aspirations with a 4-0 victory after Dave Insley netted a pair whilst Dunton and Broughton Rangers edged away from the bottom 4 with a 2-0 defeat of Lutterworth Town.

Bottom placed FC Khalsa posted their 2nd home win of the season with a 4-2 defeat of Anstey Nomads whose brace by Lloyd Murning was cancelled out by an hat trick from Jason Gilmore.
