The Leicester Fencing Trophy produces shocks.

In midweek the div2 sides turned the form book upside down in the Leicester Fencing Trophy with Anstey Nomads causing the biggest upset with a 2-3 away win at run away, and champions elect, Barrow Town after Lloyd Murning netted a pair. Holders Ellistown came from 0-2 down at home to pip Lutterworth Athletic 3-2, scoring the winner in injury time and Holwell Sports netted a 2nd half winner in their 1-0 defeat of top 6 placed Kirby Muxloe. St Andrews remain the only div1 side after they eased past Sileby Town 1-2.

With Ellistown crowned champions all that remains is to decide the remaining order of merit. Saffron Dynamo retained 2nd spot with a midweek 2-1 defeat of Bardon hill Sports holding a 5 point advantage over Asfordby Amateurs, who have 2 games in hand.

Ashby Ivanhoe maintained their promotion push with a 0-4 away win at Narborough and Littlethorpe after Lee Croxall led the line with a brace and Matt Irons netted a pair as Bardon Hill Sports recovered from their midweek defeat with a 4-0 defeat of Anstey Nomads.

After back to back wins, Lutterworth Town went down 0-1 at home to Ravenstone whilst Hathern posted their 1st point in 4 starts with a 2-2 draw at Dunton and Broughton Rangers. Bottom placed FC Khalsa claimed a rare away point with a 1-1 draw at Huncote Sports and Social.
