Barrow Town make absolutely sure of the title with their 4th win on the spin.

Champions Barrow Town made absolutely sure of the title with their 4th win on the spin, whilst their nearest challengers, Thurmaston Town and Ibstock Utd both defaulted with defeats.

Barrow showed neighbours Sileby Town no favours and ran out 2-4 victors, Scot McClennan netted 2, whilst leading scorer Lee Henson also scored to look favourite for the golden boot, McClennan needing to score 4 to overtake Henson in the final game at Ibstock Utd next weekend.

Birstall Utd gave themselves an outside chance of 2nd place with a 2-1 defeat of Thurmaston Town, overturning a 0-1 half time deficit to post their 4th win on the spin, plus Ibstock, who were on the back of 7 games without defeat managed to lose 1-0 at Blaby and Whetstone Athletic, who had not posted a point in their previous 4 starts.

Anstey Town consolidated a top 6 finish with a 4-3 defeat of Highfield Rangers, despite marksman Tim Bond?s hat trick for the Rangers, who see their top 6 status threatened by Kirby Muxloe who made it 4 wins on the spin, with a 4-2 defeat of Aylestone Park, Daz Taylor netted a brace for Kirby, Rich Conway a double for the Parks.

At the other end of the table promoted Lutterworth Athletic occupy the bottom spot and with 2 games to go Aylestone Park, Downes Sports, Ratby Sports and Leicestershire Constabulary could join them, Aylestone the current favourites, 5 points behind Downes Sports who eased their troubles with a 0-3 midweek win at Anstey Town after Dwayne Blackburn netted a brace. A midweek victory for Ratby Sports, 3-1 over Blaby and Whetstone with Sam Craig on target twice, also eased the Sports away from the bottom 2.
