SAFFRON DYNAMO RES, assured of a top 2 position in the CITY GOLDSMITH DIVISION still need to win their last match, at Sileby Town Res, to take the title despite sending BARLESTONE ST GILES RES away from Brockington College as 7-1 losers. An OG gave the Dynamo the lead which was enhanced before half time by Wes Johnson. Alex Mugglestone made it 3-0 before Dave Roberts stepped up to convert a penalty for the visitors. Dynamo soon got back into gear and added further goals through Nick Smith, Jake Limbert, another OG and finally from Lewis Towe, who came off the bench, as the Dynamo made it 8 wins on the spin from all competitions.
Sporting Desford showed its playing surface qualities by being the only grass pitch to be declared fit for use and DESFORD DEV SQUAD put it to full use with a 2-0 defeat of SILEBY TOWN RES, their 3rd win on the spin that moved them into the final prize money slot, 3rd in the table. Lochlan Murrey broke the deadlock just after the hour and Dan Portch gave the hosts a 2 goal cushion and the points with a converted penalty 15 minutes from the end to sentence the visitors to their 3rd successive defeat.
