SAFFRON DYNAMO RES took over the table top of the GOLDSMITH DIV1, on goal difference, with a 2-4 victory at the morning’s leaders ALLEXTON & NEW PARKS DEV SQUAD. The Parks led 1-0 at the break through Harry Bradley and added a 2nd through sub Jamie but the Dynamo found that extra gear and replied through Scott Braden, Ash Keohane, Nick Smith and Sam Ward to maintain their unbeaten track record.
INGLES RES sit level with Saffron with an identical record after a 4-0 defeat of COTTESMORE AMATEURS RES after Tim Raynor hit a couple added to by Mark Jackson and Sam Mott.
SILEBY TOWN RES occupy the 3rd spot as the top 4 all claim 7 points from 3 starts, after a 1-3 away win at FC GNG RES, who remain at the foot of the table yet to claim a point. Kiril Vasilev did get on the score sheet for the home side but it was only as a 2nd half consolation as Dan Robinson, Michael Ward and Tristan Ward scored for the visitors either side of half time.
BARLESTONE ST GILES complete the top 4, after a 3-2 defeat of LOUGHBOROUGH RES who came back from 2-0 down to make a fist of it. The Giles had to thank Scot Colclough, Ben Bates and George Hudson for the goals whilst Loughborough replied through Layton Weston and McCauley Kenny for their 2nd successive defeat.
An hat trick from Jim Costello gave DESFORD DEV SQUAD their 1st victory oi the season, over HATHERN DEV SQUAD 4-1. Desford led 3-1 at the break , coming from behind after Lee Ward had given the visitors an early lead. Tesfa Matthew restored parity after 12 minutes in and enter Costello with a brace before the break. He completed his hat trick in the last 5 minutes to send Hathern away pointless and yet to post a point this season
