Top 5 still in contest

Ray Hawksley keeps finding the back of the net and scored another brace in the Aylestone Park 1-6 victory at Narborough & Littlethorpe that keeps Aylestone 9 points clear of the chasing pack in division 2. Lee Morris replied for Narborough but further goals from Kyle Wesson, Terry Wildgoose and Matt Twigg gave the Parks their 1st away win in 3 starts and Desford continue to track them with a 3-2 defeat of Barlestone St Giles to step up into 3rd spot, 12 points adrift but with 5 games in hand. Desford posted their 5th home win on the spin with goals from Nico Ambrose-2 and Jimmy Costello whilst Barlestone hit 2nd half replies through Kristian Holland and Liam Hurst. St Andrews stayed in the mix, should any of the top 3 slip up, with a 9-0 defeat of Belgrave after Marc Asman pushed himself into 2nd place on the golden boot table with 4 goals on the day assisted by Callum Earls-2, Chris Hill and Jack Hollobone and FC Khalsa and Evington extended their unbeaten run to 7 with a 3-0 defeat of Asfordby Amateurs after Gordon Wright-2 and Luke Boulton scored 1st half goals. Dunton & Broughton Rangers continued to move away from the wooden spoon with a 1-1 home draw against Caterpillar after John Curry gave the visitors an interval lead. Lee Eckersley netted the 2nd half Dunton equaliser.
